Here at Bromham CofE Primary, we know and value the importance of good foundations in every thing we do- including multiplication tables.
Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging programme designed to help your child/children to master the times tables. Multiplication tables are a child’s gateway into mathematics and are at the heart of many mathematical concepts that your children will be learning, as they make their journey through the curriculum. Therefore, being confident with times tables is really important and regular reciting of tables and reading of them are the two most valuable ways parents can support children in their learning.
It's absolutely essential that your child completes regular, practice. In our experience, short bursts of practise, on a daily basis, are more effective than spending hours once a week. This is where you come in. For your child to be fully motivated and for them to get the best out of the practice, they need your help - your praise, reminders and support will help your child feel confident and successful.
Times Tables Rock Stars is part of our school community. It encourages a love and passion for learning; with a healthy dose of competition throw in. Regular battles between classes, year groups and students and teachers are enjoyed by all and we all look forward to celebrating our weekly Rock Stars in celebration collective worship.
If your child is in Year 2-6, they will have their own individual log in and password, provided by their class teacher. Once they have completed their avatar, they will be ready to rock and become a times tables master!
