Charity

Charity

As a Church of England school, we are committed to helping people in need. This includes supporting charities that are both local to the community or country, but also in offering support to appeals across the world.

Christmas in a Box

This Christmas time, Bromham Primary gathered donations of food and drink to donate to the Christmas in a Box appeal. This year, we aided the charity in providing over 850 hampers for more than 2000 people.

"If you give some of your own food to those who are hungry and to satisfy those who are humble, then your light will rise in the dark, and your darkness will become as bright as the noonday sun." (Isaiah 58:10)

Harvest Appeal

At harvest time, we collect food items for our local food bank - they collect these items from school and then distribute them to those who need them the most in our community.
We also support the Bishop's Harvest Appeal through monetary donations.   This year the Bishops’ Harvest Appeal is being run in partnership with Mission Direct who are working towards increasing access to education for some of the world’s most under-resourced communities. In Uganda and Zambia alone, Mission Direct will help over 1,170 children this year to have access to a new classroom, and over the next 20 years these new facilities will be used by 23,400 children.
‘For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.’ Psalm 9:18
