Each award that you see below is given in recognition of a huge amount of work on behalf of the whole school community to ensure that what we do is consistent and embedded across the school.
Religious education quality mark - Gold Award
The Religious Education Quality Mark (REQM) is an award recognising the work done by the school to teach RE to a high standard. There are three levels and we have been awarded Gold, which is the highest. RE is a priority at Bromham Primary. Learning about world religions is an important way for children to understand each other in our increasingly multi-cultural world. The staff and children have worked hard to achieve this award. Well done to all concerned.
School games mark - Platinum Award
The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Schools in England are assessed across bronze, silver and gold levels. This year the school moved from Gold to Platinum Award in recognition of our increased sporting opportunities and prowess.
Healthy schools award
A Healthy School is one that promotes physical and emotional health by providing accessible, relevant information which equips pupils, staff and families with the skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their health. A Healthy School is successful in supporting pupils to do their best and build on their achievements; it is committed to ongoing improvement and development.
In a Healthy School, the importance of investing in health to assist in the process of raising children and young people's achievement levels and improving standards is well understood and the need to provide a physical and social environment conducive to work and learning is recognised. A Healthy School involves the whole school community, parents, governors, staff and pupils in improving children's health, wellbeing and happiness and helping them to get the most out of life.
Eco-schools - Silver Award
Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging millions of children across 64 different countries, making it the largest schools programme in the world. Eco-Schools improves children's skills, raises environmental awareness, improves the school environment and can also create financial savings for the school.
The school has been awarded the Silver Eco-Schools Award.
